Causes And Symptoms Of Bartholin's Abscess

Sometimes woman may feel pain when they have sexual intercourse with their partners. For some, the may regard this as them not being satisfied or being dry down there. Woman ages 20 to 29 may experience this kind of pain. This can be painful when a woman is walking and sitting and pain can be intolerable. It also becomes hot and swollen. And what is this kind of pain and what causes this?

Bartholin's Abscess
Bartholin's abscess is the buildup of pus that forms a lump (swelling) in one of the Bartholin's glands, which are located on each side of the vaginal opening.

A Bartholin's abscess forms when a small opening (duct) from the gland gets blocked. Fluid in the gland builds up and may become infected. Fluid may build up over many years before an abscess occurs. (source)
