In the early 1990s, John Hardy collections were soon launched at premier retail outlets such as Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue.
As John Hardy was moving forward in a new direction, Guy Bedarida joined John Hardy in 1999 as Head Designer. Guy Bedarida designed jewelry for such well-known jewelry houses as Boucheron and Van Cleef and Arpels. Bedarida uses inspiration from nature and European designs as well as art from Asia. His flair for working with metal and stones has created some of John Hardy’s best-selling collections. Bedarida was also integral in developing the John Hardy workshop and design center located in Bali.
In 2007, John Hardy retired and sold his company to Bedarida and Damien Demoncourt who had joined the company in 2003 as CFO of the Asia branch. When Demoncourt joined the company the company brand began spreading internationally. John Hardy began selling pieces in Hong Kong, followed quickly by selling in Russia, Japan, and Dubai. Demoncourt is now company CEO, and Guy Bedarida continues to create and design handmade jewelry.
Today, John Hardy jewelry is sold all around the world in Asia (Japan and China), Middle East (Dubai and Abu Dhabi), Europe (Paris and the United Kingdom), the Caribbean, and the United States.
John Hardy stands as a progressive company both with its unique jewelry collections, but its forward thinking places it as a global leader in environmental awareness.
